This is a special election to fill an unscheduled vacancy. Incumbent Congressmember Patrick L. "Pat" Meehan, Jr. (R), who was first elected in 2010, resigned on April 27, 2018. On May 2, 2018: Governor Tom Wolf (D) called a Special Election for November 6, 2018 to fill thevacant seat. There will be no primary. Party nominees are selected at a party convention by delegates.
